Terry O’Connor is the Founder, Co-President and Manager of the Business & Life Insurance Departments. Originally from Erie, PA, Terry is a graduate of Edinboro University where he played college football for 4 years as a wide receiver and special team’s player. He also obtained his Masters of Science degree from Gannon University in Erie, PA. He is active with many networking groups in the greater Charlotte area, including being the current President of the Morning Pacesetters Chapter of BNI.

Terry is the Erie Insurance Agent Advisory Rep for the Erie Charlotte Branch agents, and also attends many seminars & trainings learning to deal with the complex issues of larger business insurance clients needs.

An avid hunter, fisherman, and sports enthusiast, Terry also enjoys spending family time with his wife Michelle and son Trey.

Terry specializes in risk management for large business insurance client accounts

Michelle joined O’Connor Insurance in 2002. Michelle graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in Indiana, PA with a BS degree in Business Administration. With more than 12 years of experience in the insurance industry, she began her insurance career as a District Sales Manager for Erie Insurance Group where her primary responsibilities included recruiting and assisting Erie Insurance Agents in product knowledge, marketing, agency operations and computer development. While she practically fell into her insurance career, Michelle believes passionately in insurance because she believes in the purpose of insurance.

Active in many networking groups, Michelle is currently a member of the e-Women Network, BLOC, and NAWBO. Michelle brings to O’Connor Insurance Associates a unique blend of customer service, attention to detail and insurance expertise!

If you are at the office make sure you stop in Michelle’s office to see the latest photos of her son Trey and her beloved Pittsburgh Steelers’ memorabilia. In her spare time, Michelle is a very busy Mom to Trey and wife to Terry. She enjoys jogging and keeping her garden flourishing in the summer.

Steve graduated from Wilkes University in Pennsylvania in 2004 with a bachelor’s degree in History and Political Science. Originally an Allentown native, Steve worked for Hoban and Associates and the Sussky Agency in Pennsylvania before moving to Charlotte, North Carolina in August of 2004. Steve is the heart of O’Connor Insurance Associates Personal Lines Department. He is an expert in assisting clients promptly and efficiently yet getting it done right the first time. Steve is responsible for the sales and service of all personal insurance lines including Auto, Home and Boat policies.

On the weekend you can find Steve and his wife Lindsay hiking the beautiful NC Mountains. If you get to the YMCA early enough during the week you might bump into him. He is typically there just as the doors open so you have to be an early bird!

Linda has recently joined the O’Connor team as our Personal Lines Account Manager with over 15 years customer service experience. She has been in the insurance industry since April of 2000. Linda has attended various classes in business & human relations at CPCC. She truly enjoys working with and helping people, which is why she’s an ideal fit for our agency!

Linda grew up in rural upstate New York and moved to the Charlotte area with her family in 1978. Linda and David have been married for over 20 years and now live in the Mint Hill area. David and his family moved to the area in 1980. They have one daughter who recently got married and lives in the Concord/Kannapolis area. Linda enjoys spending time with her family which includes her two “hearts wrapped in fur”, otherwise called Briard’s. Whenever she has a chance, you can find her and the two of them, in or near the “confirmation ring” (also known as dog shows). Some of her other interests are gardening and bird watching.

Paul has recently joined the O’Connor team as our Commercial Lines Risk Manager. Paul graduated from Ithaca College with a BA degree in Economics. He also played college football for 4 years as a running back.

Before beginning his career in insurance, he worked 9 years for Banc of America Securities in the fixed income department of the Global Corporate Investment Banking division. His responsibilities included originating and advising on unsecured public bond offerings for our country’s largest financial institutions. Paul is passionate about building strong relationships both personally and professionally.

Paul is happily married to Julia. They have two daughters, Madelyn and Rachel. When he is not at the office he is usually with his girls. He also values time spent with friends, at the church or at the gym.
